Concept AgriTek has hired Shaun Guthmiller as District Sales Manager, covering a portion of Nebraska, the Dakotas, Minnesota and Iowa.
Guthmiller is a fourth-generation farmer who, along with his brother, farms corn, soybeans, alfalfa and rye, on about 2,500 acres located in northeast Nebraska and southeast South Dakota. They also raise about 350 stock cows.
In addition to farming, Guthmiller has worked in ag retail, sold wholesale fertilizer and managed a grain elevator.
“I have done just about everything you could do, top to bottom, in agriculture retail and wholesale,” Guthmiller said. “Those experiences, along with my farming background, give me a unique experience that helps me work with the farmer.”
Guthmiller said he was attracted to Concept AgriTek because of its innovations in plant fertility.
“I was sold on the quality of the products,” Guthmiller said. “They have a lot more bacteria than I was able to get in any other package.”
Guthmiller said that in his new role, he is most looking forward collaborating with farmers to develop creative solutions to help them increase their yield and realize a greater return on their investment.
“I love working with farmers and helping them figure out solutions,” Guthmiller said. “What I like about Concept AgriTek is that it’s not a one-size-fits all approach. We customize it to the farmer’s needs. We can help them out in every situation. Whether they are no-till or conventional till, or whether they are placing things in-furrow or 2X2. We have products to fit those needs.”
Guthmiller and his wife, Miranda, have two children, Ella and Bingham. He can be reached at shaun.guthmiller@conceptagritek.com.
